You best believe I look forward to this gala every year.
For those who don't know, I launched Genetically Resilient Apparel in 2017. I created this brand for people who have experienced adversity and bounced back from it. I also wanted it to serve as a form of encouragement for someone who may be in the middle of their storm to push through, keep going and not give up. It's an affirmation you can wear.
One year later I hosted my first Genetically Resilient Gala; a celebration honoring people who have overcome adversity. During the gala these resilient individuals show their receipts through story telling. It's a feel-good event that radiates positive energy. My mission is to inspire, support and encourage people to tap into their bounce back magic (resilience) when faced with adversity. This gala helps me fulfill my mission.
What should you expect? It's a gala. Bring the fly version of yourself. You feel good when you look good. You know your posture changes when you've got your good stuff on. Food is included with your ticket. If you've attended this gala in the past, you know that the food is always on point. We will have a fashion show. The music will be good because the DJ knows the assignment- good vibes. Expect an opportunity to support black owned businesses that will be vending. You know I love pictures! There will be a photographer and videographer to capture the moments. Make sure you take some selfies against the Vick Breedy Brand
backdrop and tag me in your posts. For entertainment this year we will have a dope violinist.
As always, I will have a table with my books and apparel available.
It would be extremely comforting if you could get your tickets as soon as possible. You can imagine the anxiety that comes with trying to plan for the unknown.
