I created Genetically Resilient apparel in 2017. I launched it at the Black Market's opening (in Nubian Square). The pandemic pressed paused for me in many ways. As a result, I haven't hosted the Genetically Resilient Experience Gala for two solid years. We cancelled the gala that was to be held in May 2020.
In previous years, I held the Genetically Resilient Experience Gala at Vision Space Gallery in Lynn, MA. Each year that we held the gala Lynn showed me love. The community showed up dressed in their best to celebrate resilience. The nights were magical and inspiring.
This year it will be held at the place from which it launched - the Black Market.
Just because I'm hosting an in-person event, doesn't mean that I'm totally comfortable with being outside amongst the masses. To keep it really transparent I'm not comfortable at all in spaces with a lot of people. Sorry. With that being said, I will be disregarding the capacity maximum and limiting the tickets to one hundred. I want the space to be filled with people that my brand and my message speaks to. I want the space to feel like family and the energy to be loving.
My Guest Speakers Dr. Tony Van Der Meer and Darrell Jones will use their gifts and leave you inspired. This night will continue to be about celebrating those who have overcome adversity and bounced back. The Genetically Resilient brand honors those who have made it through the storm and inspires those who are currently experiencing a storm to keep fighting. We are genetically resilient. We have bounce back magic; and our ancestors are our receipts. The brand doubles as a positive affirmation.
